Lawndale Love Stories Interview Day

ABOUT THE EVENT:
Join Art West Chicago and Visual Manifesto for a morning of community storytelling! The creative duo is looking for residents of North Lawndale to share their stories and histories about the neighborhood and hopes for the future. The culmination of these conversations will result in a digital archive of stories and that will inform creative placemaking projects in and around Homan Square!
Interviewees will sit down for a conversation with Alexie Young, founder of Art West Chicago and Lawndale native, to dive deep into the roots of what makes North Lawndale such a special place. Questions in the interview will range from personal histories to connections to the neighborhood and beyond – typically lasting around 30 minutes. Interviews are intended to be both audio and video recorded, and participants should feel comfortable with entering a conversation that will be archived in this way before registering.
