Join Art West Chicago and Foundation for Homan Square for an intimate screening of Lawndale Love Stories!
Throughout 2023 and 2024, West-side based artist Alexie Young of Art West Chicago interviewed North Lawndale residents and asked them to reflect on what living in North Lawndale has and continues to mean to them. Conversations ranged from family histories to new development initiatives, culminating in a collection of stories, perspectives, and visions that acknowledge the storied past, present, and future for the neighborhood. This screening event will showcase portions of the recorded interviews and celebrate all that North Lawndale is.
The screening program will start promptly at 6:45 PM. Please arrive before then to enjoy the production in full. Please see the agenda below for more detail on the program schedule.
