Homebuyer Education Training with NHS
Join Neighborhood Housing Services (NHS) for a homebuyer education course!

Please note that this an in-person training will take place over two consecutive Saturdays from 9:00AM – 1:00PM at Breakthrough Urban Ministries (3330 W. Carroll Avenue). Participants will need to attend both sessions to receive a certificate of completion.
- Saturday, September 21: Orientation to the home buying process, budgeting and credit scores
- Saturday, September 28: Shopping for a home, the closing process, and down payment assistance programs
For those interested in purchasing a home through our Home Sweet Homan Homeownership Initiative – completing a homebuyer training course is one of the requirements to receive subsidies from our program. Whether you’re ready to buy today, or want to make a plan to buy, completing this training (or a similar HUD-certified training) is the first step to set you up for success. Our skilled partners at NHS will help you access the resources, partners, and tools you need to make the biggest investment of your life – your home!
